Has anybody stayed in oceanfront and ocean view rooms in the main tower? Trying to make a decision on if the $200/day difference is worth it
DATED INFORMATION DISCLAIMER: Have not been there since reconstruction started.
The view is better in the main tower than the ocean wing. Maybe a lot better up high (not that there is a bad view of the ocean either wing). The inside atrium in the main tower adds something if you are into mid-century architecture.
The downside is the sun really beats down more on the main tower, so you get less use out of the lanai.
$200 more a night, every night, becomes a Your Preferences May Vary question. Last time I got the upgrade and loved it. But on another stay I might rather pay less and stay longer.
Anyone been in a renovated room? Did they really rip out all the gorgeous old mahogany wall units?
