Again, you make it seem like these were just typical summer storms. They were not. This was well discussed on many weather sites before hand and there was a mivh higher risk of widespread severe storms than the typical summer storms. The low pressure that came up from Florida, which was predicted, enhanced these storms. This was well predicted and Delta did nothing to make Friday easier for its customers. This is just another example of poor Delta management and its customers suffering the consequences. I guess these meltdowns are just becoming routine for Delta.
Going to have to respectfully disagree with this.......the National Weather Service (NWS) uses a system from 1 to 5 to rank weather, with 1 being Marginal, 2 Slight, 3 Elevated, 4 Moderate, and 5 High. Very rarely do you see a 4 or 5, and 3 is fairly uncommon. This day was a marginal risk, which for frame of reference was not even a level except within the last 10 years, when they felt as though they had to add an additional level to cover situations that MIGHT happen.
I still think DL's biggest issue is recovery in these situations, which we see again is not good.
