Following the recent news of Phuket "incidents" and impacts to HKT security processing times. Would ask for any advice, observations from recent travelers. I've taken domestic TG flights HKT-BKK many times over the last 35 years and never had more than 15 minutes car drop-off/check-in/security. The news reports recommend 2 hours. My flight is late July, but looking to plan ahead; perhaps purchase the overpriced Fast Track/VIP package. However, if folks experience reasonable experience, then I'll just take the news under advisement. FWIW I'm staying in Nai Yang and Mai Khao; far from Patong/Phuket Town, so doubt any "action" is going to occur there although Surin had a "Device", so will keep eyes open and head on a swivel ;-)
