The fact that they do not apply fixed blackout dates has nothing to do with a guarantee of award seats on every single flight.
As I mentioned before, the concept of "blackout dates" has become mostly outdated with sophisticated yield management softwares. Some airlines have even moved to the next step with dynamic pricing of awards
I don’t expect they make them available - but they state they don’t have blackouts, but don’t load flights over a 25 day period. Every single flight on that route over that period is restricted. That is surely considered a blackout if they don’t load seats for those flights over that time.
I’m not questioning their right; my original query is because they state it as a policy - but then do restrict for periods.
I don’t think there’s much more to say on it.
