On another note, breakfast at Madeleine is no longer a fixed amount each day but one entree and drink a day that will (in theory) be reviewed by the desk on checkout. Guessing they had too many people take advantage of the $140/day credit. The explanation of the new rules was pretty loosey goosey and a little rude the desk rep said something to the extent of: You get one, ONE entree and one ONE drink. Me (admittedly poking the bear): What If i don't want an $22 entree and I'd like to get an affogato, would that be credited? Hyatt: No, ice cream is not breakfast. Me: So you'd rather pay for a $22 ago toast over a $8 coffee? Hyatt: Yes, that's right.

End of day, they took everything from Madeleine off the bill but we never came close to the previous $140 bill. A few days we also got multiple things and it was all taken off. So maybe the check-in lecture is just to stop people from taking advantage and buying 20 bags of chips and chocolate bars.
