Our return was NH BKK-NRT-SFO. First leg was fine, but crew average at best and for the second we had The Room, which I really enjoyed. I found it odd though that NH doesn’t carry Baileys or even Kahlua, so UA wins on that minor front. NH crew on that leg were at the top of their game tho.
We have found that often on the "regional" routes you get the JV team and aircraft on NH -- while international has been consistently excellent.
It helps that our primary route TYO - JFK usually gets all the new planes and best crews....
