So in my situation where I won't be knocking on the door of 1K, much less going for PlusPoints beyond that, is there any reason to stick with the Presidential Plus card at this point? My annual fee renewed at the start of April, before the card changes were announced. If it makes the most sense to change to the Club card, which to me it does, do they credit that annual fee back and charge the new one? I am hoping that if I am going to make the change, it can be done before the end of 2025, because the Club card benefit of the 1500 PQP boost applies only if one has the card open as of 12/31 the previous year (so I would need it to be a Club card by 12/31/25 to get the 2026 PQPs). If it can be changed anytime, I might as well change over sooner than later and start earning 1 PQP per $15 instead of $20. What I'd hate is if the change can't be made until next April....

The additional PlusPoints aren't in play for me, so is there any meaningful difference in benefits I am not thinking of that would make it worth not changing to the Club card now?
