TLDR: Originally booked DXB-DTW on AC and now due to multiple schedule changes am arriving 8 hours late and am flying a mixed EK/AC itinerary. Wondering if AC would rebook on EK to allow original arrival time and avoid an additional connection
My experience is that they would. Find a connection that works for you and ask them to make the change.
