I have a flight from ZRH to JFK T4 in F, connecting to a Copa flight to Panama City from T1 in J (all one ticket bought from LX).

Connection times are 2hr 40 outbound and 2hr 10 inbound. Both are clearly legal connections but I am aware of very varied experiences connecting through US airports. Can I expect any ground assistance from LX agents and if I can't make my connecting flight due to passport / security delays will LX sort ot my onward travel?
