Your rights are governed by the Montreal Convention.

BUT your profile says you're based in London, and my assumption therefore is that you're returning home?

Therefore as you're at home there's a broad expectation from the airlines that you have everything you would usually have available to you at home that you're not going to go out and buy a new wardrobe. Anything unique, essential, and not a consumable would you usually have to buy in any case, that you don't have another one of at home you can claim for but do so on the understanding that you might end up paying for it if the airline plays hardball. Airlines are usually reasonable to claim expenses if you are reasonable with them. Qatar can be a bit more challenging than most to get claims processed with minimum kerfuffle. YMMV.

And your credit card or other insurance will expect you to claim from the airline first.
