Never been to an airport that requires two people mover rides within the facility, let alone for a transfer. I frequently choose transfer points for ease and efficiency, like no security or the ability just to cross the same terminal building. HKIA is going to force a switch of terminal buildings, have two train rides, and security.
The whole HK brand, including HKIA, is prized for efficiency, and this feels like...not that.
