Okay.. short rant. Is it me or are last minute flight reservations on AA becoming outrageously priced? Case in point, I was trying to schedule a MSY-DFW RT one day in advance. 1 hr 8 min flight economy class… between $573 and $680. Im an Exec Plat and travel nearly every week, and those prices are even more than I can stomach. And for what? Pretzels and a soft drink? I was just in Europe and genuinely miss my experience on SAS for my 1 and a half hour flight (cold salad with pilled on fresh smoked salmon, coffee service, tea service, chocolates) on a 90 min flight (plus they upgraded me to their gold lounge which had a full spread that makes Admiral lounges look so bad).
