OK, there doesn't seem to be a general thread about baggage allowance for *A Gold.

So I usually travel with a 23 kg suitcase, a full size carry on (complies within European size limits) and a camera backpack, again within personal item dimension limits.

Looking to book flights between islands and ATH. Since I get automatic allowance for the 23 kg checked suitcase, I should book Flex fares instead of Light or Comfort Flex fares?

Then when I check in, there shouldn't be any problems checking in my large suitcase?

Wow one fare I'm looking at, the difference between Light and Flex is about €25, which seems to be a lot to take my personal item on board. But it contains an expensive camera and some other valuable items which couldn't be checked anyways because of batteries.


Also are the allowances the same for all the aircraft they operate to the islands, including the ATR72? I heard at least on other airlines, the overhead bins may not even hold the 55 x 40-x20 cm carry ons.

One more question, are the *A Gold baggage allowances the same on Olympic Airlines? It's all Aegean right?
