Not sure how this is supposed to end up working, but at BOS they have some wonky version currently. The TSA checkpoint has cameras/displays and everyone looks at those, but unless you use clear you still have to give them your ID which they insert in the machine, and then it (tries) to compare your small low-resolution ID picture to the picture taken from the camera... and it works POORLY.

Credential Authentication Technology.
Touchless ID is like a more streamlined version of Clear, you just look into the camera and the ID checker waves you through. However, it's limited only to PreCheck members with a US Passport (how they get your photo) on select airlines for now.
