Things like this underpin my skepticism that transferring UR is a particularly valuable use.
I agree and usually if there is saver award availability then there are also P fares which are normally not $8k. (Or maybe never that high, but I am by far not the authority on what the highest P fare looks like so will not say that definitively, although I haven't ever seen any that high.)
