I connected via PHL yesterday going out to LHR and had the opportunity to try out the lounge. The guy sitting next to me on the connecting flight saw LHR on my phone and was very excited that I would get to try out the lounge and was telling me how beautiful it is. I mean, the décor is "nice" I suppose, as far as airline lounges go. The only other FL I can compare it to is LAX. Overall I was disappointed. The space is quite small, much smaller than LAX. It was packed (6:30pm), but I was able to find a small table to sit down. The food selections were much more limited compared to what I've seen at LAX. The a-la-carte menu was a joke -- a pretzel, cheese and charcuterie plate and two versions of the Philly cheesesteak. There seemed to be an ice cream bar, which looked to be a hit with the kiddos who were in the lounge. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful, although my interaction with them was very limited. I had booked a flight that was going to give me close to 2 hours to spend in the lounge, but due to delays I had maybe 40 minutes. Not sure what I would've done with the extra time anyway.
