I think I was very fortunate, knowing QR can be challenging with disruptions.
I had a 4pm meeting at Amsterdam airport prior to my 10pm departure to HK via Doha on Tuesday the 24. Ceasefire in place but found the flight from Doha was cancelled and subsequently my flight.

at the check in counter the staff was initially dismissive, I could rebook via WhatsApp or cancel and get a refund. I specifically said I was not looking for compensation, but would need duty if care (hotel etc) as I was not in my home country. This was denied as duty if care according to them falls under compensation and this issue was beyond their control. (This statement was not correct, duty of care always applies).

anyway, once the staff figured I flew in business class I was escorted past a queue to a manned desk where a friendly (but stressed) team was rebooking. In the end I flew to London at 7.30pm, and on to HK direct via cathay at 10pm. I am about to land in HK 4 hours before my original schedule.

Good effort, but it shows you have to positively engage with the staff and help them support you.
