  • Good breakfast (notably hot plates) and excellent Refuge restaurant.
  • Very friendly staff (staff at reception is simply great)

Bad:
Nothing

Value for $ or IHG One Rewards Points? Would you return?
Yes, definitely.I truly have a great fondness for the Kimpton in Manchester – there’s something quite special about its atmosphere. It’s one of those rare hotels with a real sense of history. The building itself is fascinating, and every time I return, I seem to discover a new corner I hadn’t noticed before. It’s vast, yet full of charm, and the abundance of greenery throughout only adds to the character of this remarkable property, once the headquarters of the Refuge Assurance Company.

I must say, I feel the same way about Manchester. The more I visit, the more I appreciate the city’s energy and vibrant spirit. It’s a place that truly knows how to celebrate, how to enjoy life. And when the weather’s beautiful, the whole city comes alive — everyone is out, soaking up the sun, enjoying simple pleasures on terraces and in open spaces. It’s genuinely a brilliant city, and I look forward to coming back again soon.
