No asterisk, no caveats. Just that. Thankfully I took a screenshot of the confirmation page showing this message.

When I cancelled a day before pickup, I was refunded my money - less a surprise $35 refund fee! Then on top of this, that money was 'refunded' only as e-credits to use for future bookings for use within 2 years. Their terms of service did advertise that e-credits could be withdrawn to credit card(with an additional fee) but when I contacted them they said, 'actually that only applied to bookings cancelled up to 48 hours before pickup'. They claimed they had provided me a full refund as promised, in the form of e-wallet credits, and refused to refund to my original payment method.

Thankfully, Amex very quickly refunded my money when I initiated a chargeback dispute, including the screenshot I took.

Deep inside their terms and conditions they actually have the following, almost laughable, term:
"4.1.6. Ignorance and not reading the details of the cancellation policy is no excuse."

That alone should tell you everything you need to know about this company. Curiously they have very strong reviews on trustpilot(which I checked before booking) but absolutely horrific reviews on most other review sites e.g. reviews.io.
Not defending the company....but that clause 4.1.6 in writing is a heck of a lot better than many other "small prints" where the express omission of such a statement is irrelevant as "ignorance " as a plead is never strong for substantiation.
