Considering staying here for one night before a morning flight; however, I'll be arriving from a domestic DL flight into McNamara with a checked bag. I've passed by the airside entrance to this hotel many times, which seems super convenient to go through but I'm guessing there's no easy way to get to baggage claim

If I do go to baggage claim first after exiting the secure area, could anyone give me details on how to get to the hotel entrance from there? When looking this up myself, it sounds like I have to take some terminal shuttle to the entrance of the hotel which seems...weird. Is that accurate even if you're arriving into McNamara? Makes the hotel seem much less convenient.

Alternatively, I could just forego the checked bag (though it'll be tough since it's a longer trip). If I am traveling with just a carry-on, I assume I can just go through the airside entrance to the hotel and exit the secure area there?
