Themicha….I am going on a cruise, so will need to go to Pier 88. After the cruise I will need to go back to Pier 79 to take the ferry back to Battery Park City, then take PATH to Newark Penn Station. To me, this seems to be the simplest public transportation route. I considered taking the ferry from Weehawken, but it just didn’t seem as simple as the PATH-ferry-walk route. Thanks for your input!

guv1976…I’ve taken shuttles to/from hotels where I’m not even booked, if my hotel is within easy walking distance. I tip the driver, and hopefully he’s being paid for his time…so everyone wins. I doubt if the hotel cares who is on the shuttle as long as one pays and registers if needed. I will keep my receipt to show that I did stay there. I really don’t feel they mind as long as there’s space. If worse come to worst, there’s also a taxi, or the bus! I don’t anticipate a problem though.
