Yep, apparently this is back. The inbound (SFO-IAD) also had the same issue. Looks like the seat map switched about around D-30 so no clue how seat assignments were done. Didn’t want to risk her in E- so switched to an earlier delayed IAD-SFO and cleared the upgrade with PP. Looks like IAD-SFO went out with some empty P+ so who knows how they did seat assignments. I kept checking to see and seat map was fixed again what would’ve been after boarding. What a pain - wouldn’t have booked this flight had we known this would happen. I guess this “hack” is sometimes too good to be true since P+ is better than regular F and doesn’t require an instrument / more money.
