Bumping this with a question - I just booked my first EXST for a trip this coming October (SEA-LIH). For checkin at the airport... are we stuck waiting in the special services line for this? Or can we do something like get a BP at the gate or the customer service desk behind security? I find the ticket counter line at SEA to be... slooow and to be avoided if possible.

Amazingly, EXST in Main was $119 cheaper than 2x premium class and a whopping $3400 cheaper than 2x F for my wife and I. I'm 5'9" and she's 5'5" so legroom is never an issue for us; it's not getting stuck with a middle seat for six hours, fighting over an armrest with a strange. To be honest, I am surprised AS doesn't pursue this as a revenue stream more aggressively.
