There shouldn't be, but there really isn't any reason to do that. Avis' policy is typically to hold reservations for up to 24 hours from the scheduled pickup time. Just reserve for the later time. If you show up an hour or so early, they aren't going to make you wait for your reservation time to get the vehicle. Don't overthink it.
