Went through it at DCA North on Tuesday (617). There is a non-TSA employee (orange jacket) who verifies you have the right symbol at the entrance to the queue. Then just smile for the camera and told by the TSA agent to go on through. Very similar to Global Entry. I won't hesitate to use it in the future.
What is the "right symbol" and where does it appear? Is it different from the normal PreCheck designation on the boarding pass?
