A 321 packed to the rafters. 28 pax in CE. The cabin service manager was extremely competent. The drinks run was started by my hand for two rows the trolley then came out between rows 3 and 7. The champagne was pleasantly cold and served very promptly. The meal followed maybe a little too quickly but quite understandably under the circumstances. To my mind this was extremely good and efficient service provided by a CSM who knew his job
I experienced the same level of service recently on a packed CE cabin LHR CFU. The brilliant IFM led by example and clearly instructed her younger colleagues (who I think were relatively new to the job) how everything should be done to the ‘Service Standard’. Drinks run promptly started after take off, the 2 younger Cabin Crew started at row 3, and the lovely IFM served the first 2 rows drinks by hand. Top ups were offered even before the meal service started. Meal service was perfect with drinks offered at the same time…..exactly as it should be, and not 10 minutes after getting my meal which has happened quite frequently on other recent flights.
