The bit that's not working is the Brock Reconciliation and Reflight link, a separate link into SITA, which means that Heathrow's handlers now have a backlog of bags that they can't reflight and thus cannot shift. Bags are being moved to that Baggage Recovery Facility on the north side of T5C and will probably be there a day or two. This also means that you won't be able to check bags in before 2 hours (shorthaul) and 3 hours (longhaul) due to congestion.
The main SITA fault happened overnight and was fixed around 06:30 from what I can see, however there is then a backlog of messaging, not all of which would be correctly processed, hence the problems spilling into this morning.
The T1 sorter for T2 issue is now resolved but that's another backlog. There was also a brief outage of the WIB tunnel from T5C but that's all sorted.
