Hi all,
I have an upcoming stay in the fall and reached out to some contacts to get more info about the new spa (Basin Glacial Waters) at Chateau Lake Louise. I was booking so much travel for colleagues and family that I figured I might as well get on the inside—and now I’m a Virtuoso TA on the side, haha.

.
The BGW opening is currently targeted for mid-September, with an official date expected to be announced in early July. This has taken longer than I think they had hoped (from what I was told late last year).
As previously shared, access to the thermal wellness area will be limited to in-house guests only. Pricing is set at $275 CAD per person for a 3-hour session. There are no discounts for ALL elite members of any status tier. The hotel is wanting to keep guest numbers low in the spa to preserve a quiet, individualized experience (thus the pricing and time-limit I assume). There will be a lot of choice of how to proceed to all the water and steam experiences much like you would find in a Nordic Spa.
The wife and I will definitely give this a shot in the fall. However, I was hoping they were going to head in the direction of pulling some of the Kananaskis Nordic Spa clientele with similar pricing, unlimited spa time, and elite discounts. I'm waiting to hear back if massage/other spa treatments link to Basin access. I know at the K Nordic Spa if you pay for a massage, you get free access to the spa. A great use of insurance :P
