Hi, regarding the STAR ALLIANCE GOLD privilege, it's shown on the website as quote as follow.
"Priority Reservations Waitlist
Gold Priority Airport Stand-by
Gold Priority Airport Check-in
Gold Priority Baggage Handling
Gold Airport Lounge Access
Gold Priority Boarding
Gold Extra Baggage Allowance
Gold Gold Track"

However, it's so so hard to reach EGYPTAIR in any location, so if you wish to redeem your mileage for a free ticket, you must reach them in local office or email to their 24/7 call center in EGYPT. Or you can redeem mileages or upgrade EGYPTAIR flight on its website except STAR ALLIANCE partner flights, you have to reach them for direct help.
There is another option called SAUA (Star Alliance Upgrade Award) which you can use your EGYPTAIR mile to do upgrade for other STAR ALLIANCE flight with Y/B fare and move up to one cabin class.
