According to United's own calculation, PY need to be at least 1.6x the fare of Economy to achieve breakeven with Y and UA is seeing 2x of RASM vs Y. So at 2.8x of economy, UA is making more profits from you vs what you are getting. You'd get more room by buying two seats.
