I was not able to do it online and the agent at YQR says she couldn’t generate a BP, though I suspect she didn’t know how. We were told to go to the Condor counter at YYC, which is absurd given it’s a WS codeshare. Surely WS can do better than this!

To close out my sort of rant: the Condor (Swissport) agent at the gate got us BPs without a problem. I asked about Westjet agents and she said they are able to do it and it’s not complicated. I’ve flown DE before, but this was a first time on the A330 Neo and on a WS-issued ticket. Integration between WS and DE is poor. I was able to get seat assignments by calling in, but was not able to do it any other way. Selecting a special meal is not possible. We were not the only ones in the business cabin who would have selected a special meal if it had been possible (there was a family of four discussing it with a crew member).
