Hotel should have trained their staff on how to manage when system is down using their downtime reports and failsafe keys, so there's definitely a service issue.
Ah, I see...was not aware of this. If it was indeed an outage like this then yes I agree, they should (and I believe they do) have procedures to deal with this.
