"Your feedback to British Airways
We’re very sorry there were no bottles of water available on your flight from Miami on 18 June, especially as you had to leave your seat and fill your cup with water. This isn’t what you should expect of us, and we understand why you needed to complain. We don’t underestimate how frustrating this must have been, especially as you were advised by the crew there were no small bottles available because of a trial that was taking place.
You’ve mentioned you wasn't notified of the trial before your flight. It’s clear from your comments the situation wasn’t handled as well as you would expect. I've shared your comments with my colleagues in the relevant team to guide us as we improve our service.
We value your loyalty as a Gold Guest List member and know this experience did not meet our usual standards. I’ve added 10,000 Avios to your Club account, and hope this goes some way towards making up for what happened.
Once again, please accept our apologies for this experience. We hope to welcome you on board again soon."
I haven’t read through the whole thread, so forgive me if I repeat something that has already been said, but as current crew, I’d like to apologise for this appalling reply… it really does symbolise everything that is wrong with BA nowadays. It’s a badly written, placatory email from someone who hasn’t even properly read your complaint, and it means absolutely nothing… I’d be livid tbh. I can see CIHY has been on the thread so I’m sure it’s been explained that this is a trial to see if plastic waste can be reduced, but I can promise you that it will be about as popular with the crew as it will with all of you 😬 as it will probably double the footfall coming into the galleys once the meal service is over. Hopefully, once the feedback from the trial has been assessed, they will come to their senses and drop the idea.
