No it is not worth it. When PE first started it was about $300 more than coach on a $1000 coach fare. That difference has steadily increased due to market demand, PE is very popular and often sold out. My flight on August to MAN is about $800-900 more than the coach fare. I am paying it because of my wife. About 8 years ago I made the mistake of flying her in a middle seat in coach to Portugal. She refused to travel any more if I couldn’t do better than that, so since then we have flown PE. Like many things, once you get used to it it is hard to go back.
