To maximize my chances of making it (I’m a 1K) do I brave the transfer desk in domestic then take non priority security or do I head to the United check in counter, leverage premier, then take the fast pass security? Or do I simply rebook to a flight 8 hours earlier?
Any thoughts? I assume AI wont be able to check me into a Star alliance PNR that doesn’t include them.
2h25 in DEL with no checked bags is easy peasy, you just walk out and go up to the checkin/departure level to report to United. AI is usually unwilling to check you in with a *A partner, their system can find and interline airlines who also use Amadeus Altea (LH/LX/OS/SQ/AF/KL/BA) if they want to so it really varies by agent.

My understanding after reading the thread is that there will be no issues heading straight to transit after arrival?
I'm also reading despite having the onward boarding pass it still was a hassle getting through the transit security...
Any advice much appreciated.
CX has to formally hand you over to AY at the transit desk after which you can into transit security. Just ask one of the agents meeting the CX flight if they can arrange the transfer at the transit desk.
