I have to agree here. I think the thoughts of most normal people when they were told this was “coming soon” immediately went to “cool, at least I’ll have an option instead of seeing these expire when I wasn’t able to use them to confirm anything all year.”
That’s exactly what I thought even though as a GS, I never see PPs expire.
