I'm a bit puzzled that AA doesn't have a social media policy prohibiting employees from commenting on matters like this. Every company that I've worked for, and those where I have friends, has such a policy. Basically we are allowed to comment in a general sense about policy, and specify that it is our individual opinion, and not that of the company. There are a few AA employees who post here to FT in such a way.
An employee nearly anywhere else would be severely disciplined for posting something like that publicly.
