11.05 ALC - LGW

A 321 packed to the rafters. 28 pax in CE. The cabin service manager was extremely competent. I cannot remember the last time someone came and took the orders on the ground. Last minute upgrades were told that their orders would be taken last and none of them seemed to mind. The choices were:

Braised beef with new potatoes and what look like celarrac and carrot Chicken curry with rice Chicken salad The drinks run was started by my hand for two rows the trolley then came out between rows 3 and 7. The champagne was pleasantly cold and served very promptly. The meal followed maybe a little too quickly but quite understandably under the circumstances. To my mind this was extremely good and efficient service provided by a CSM who knew his job I am well aware that this was your Gatwick a life of one might have preferred that The team under him were a bit more approachable and friendly, but that would be really harping as they were both extremely efficient

We had the beef which was very tender, quite tasty, but not quite as moist as it could be.or in all we left the flight feeling quite well fed and not needing anything until the evening
