Doesn't seem to match to any coach number and none of the seats on the DB site use letters.

Or should I leave seating their unreserved, skip my seat reservations (is that allowed?), and just find a cluster or unreserved seats together?
Or if I don't get to see my seat reservation until I get a boarding pass, can I add on seat reservations for my family on the DB site right before take off. My flight coming back is on Swiss, so only see a LX confirmation number, but no LH, on the reservation.
as I posted above, you need your physical BP re-printed by LH to see the seat assignment. There is IME no way to see that ahead of time. Swiss and LH is the same PNR. You can reserve seats with DB until very close to departure, so in principle once you have your seat assignment you could get the additional seats in close proximity, if available. You can also skip this altogether. Trains in Germany can be anything from very empty to overcrowded, depends on a lot of factors and sometimes hard to predict. CGN is a 1 hr train ride from FRA - not a huge problem either way unless you really need that seat and seats together.
