I had no plans to travel on another airline but once United abandoned me in IAH I had to do something. My expectation was that the bags be delivered to my home since they canceled the flight but maybe I'm the ...**** for thinking that.
In fairness, United didn’t abandon you; they gave you an alternative that would have required an overnight stay.

It’s not what you want to hear, but United didn’t abandon you; it seems that you abandoned United. You’re at fault. I’d call United and see where your bags are. If the trip is still showing on the app, track your bags that way. It’s up to you to find your bags.
