Word of warning to Delta gift card holders. When removing that sticker cover of the PIN code, that code is in fact printed on paper, not plastic.

When I quickly pulled off the cover on the back of a $100 gift card, the last 5 characters peeled off with it! They became hidden in a thin paper layer clinging to the adhesive of the covering underside. I then extremely gingerly peeled off the paper from the adhesive and was able to read the last four characters. When attempting to type in the PIN to DL.com, it became clear there was yet another character between the first and last sets of characters I had. After multiple wrong guesses of what that missing middle character was, I lucked out. It was a number (not a letter) and got it on the fifth guess.

I have no idea what I could do if I couldn’t get it inputted. It was given to me years ago and I didn’t have the receipt.
