This is so true. I still remember the first time I went to a lounge (CHC dom) - I was a broke uni student free riding off my partner’s mum and was definitely wide-eyed at all the free flowing food and drinks (especially having grown up in a low socio-economic small town).
Nowadays, with my much more frequent travel pattern (mix of work and personal) from not-so-glamorous 6am turboprops to SQ J travel and access to real business class lounges, oh how my views on Air NZ and their lounges have changed.
