Hi— this is a first for me.

I bought a codeshare UA/LH itinerary (I know, this seems to be half of the IT issues..) and on the Lufthansa website and app I’m not able to see upgrade options. I’m trying to upgrade the first leg of my trip, which is a US-MUC leg operated on LH metal. (Was on the fence about upgrading when I got my ticket because I’ve been kind of meh on LH A380 premium economy.)

when I called in to ask (the fare is a T fare- which should be eligible for paid upgrades), the call agent said I would have to go in to the airport to see what the upgrade options were.

granted - my flight is ~3 months away at this point. But beyond frustrated I can’t see what the options even are right now. Has anyone else heard this before? Or been in this situation? Or is this a case of just call another time to get another agent — or call Star Alliance gold member line? I just find it so weird. Definitely a first world problem but it’s 2025… and we can’t solve this in our phones yet??
