Invol. denied boarding? That seems a bit far-stretched. The situation at SYD was very far from BA denying the OP to board BA16. OP misconnected/wasn't able to make it to the BA16 gate in time due to delay of incoming QF flight and ground handling/delayed mobility assistance. That doesn't qualify for comp. for invol. denied boarding.
