Personal card:
- 5 nights credit at the start of each year plus 2 nights for every $5K spend
- 1 Free award night each card anniversary at a Category 1–4 Hyatt hotel.
- Another free award night at a category 1-4 Hyatt hotel after $15k spend on cc
That makes sense - I've been doing some reading about if it's even "feasible" for me to get to Globalist (I probably could swing 60 nights as I work remote and enjoy trips and such...but ehhh likely not worth it)
- However, the AF alone makes it worth it I feel for the Cat 1-4 pay for itself. Having the starting/mid tier status rather than nothing seems like a halfway decent reason to hold the card.
If I'm using this card as a day-to-day spend I could probably easily hit the 5k/15k spend respectively then use another card to meet a SUB or something - is that what you typically do?

there is sort of a Cliff's Notes in the wiki at the top of the thread (if viewing via the FT mobile experience with infinite scroll, either use the link above to start from the first page, or use the << from the navigation bar at the bottom to "defeate" the infinite scroll so that you can view the wiki)
The signup offer section of the wiki seems a bit stale though (wikis depend on community input to be kept up to date...)
There is a separate thread for the business version of the card, as some of the benefits are different, and even some of the superficially similar benefits have variations in how they are accrued/applied:link redacted
Thanks for the info! I completely missed the little "Wiki" section, and reading through endless pages is a little overwhelming.

If you are just looking for a bunch of bonus points, Chase Ink Business will get you 90K bonus after 8K spend. Personal Sapphire Preferred will get you 60K after $5k spend. Either of these cards will allow you to transfer the points to Hyatt.... or UA for that matter. But neither of these cards gets you extra elite qualifying nights.
The Hyatt personal card gets you 60K points but requires $18K spend in 6months. The extra Cat 1-4 certificate and 2 qualifying nights per $5k spend make it a better choice for me. As many do, I have both Chase Sapphire Preferred, Hyatt Personal and I also have the Hyatt Business card, though I am thinking that might be a waste at this point.
If I was starting from scratch, I might get the Chase Ink Business card to start, then get the Hyatt Personal card. The 90K bonus for the Ink card is pretty good so I would lock that down and then put spend on my Hyatt Personal to get the extra 60K. Then, use the Hyatt personal card for all your stays to maximize point accrual when you stay.
I've been hoarding a good bit of Amex/Chase points intending for flights and mainly Hyatt stays. As I work remote and currently I try to do at least 1 trip somewhere a month for fun with the "extra" nights awarded with the WOH Card - I *might* be able to hit the 60?
I recently-ish did one of the Chase Ink Business cards (did it around the holidays so hitting that spend was pretty easy) - I downgraded my old CSP, and got the 100k CSP offer recently as well.
I feel like, with my current cards - if I were to get the WOH Hyatt Card - The 6k spend in the first 3 months and 15k in a calendar year could make it worth it and then after hitting the spend for the *2nd* Cat 1-4 award just the card for stays like you mentioned. Does all of that even matter if I'm working towards Globalist, or does it make more sense to just prioritize Chase UR and only grab a Hyatt personal card at a different time?

Hyatt card SUBs are less attractive (and for the personal card downright annoyingly unattractive) than most other cards including UA and UR but the ongoing earnings at Hyatts is superior.
“Worth it” is 100% subjective and different for almost everyone depending on their goals and spending habits.
That's good to note - 4pt/1$ is pretty nice at a base level. That's my only drawback really - the less attractive SUBS (essentially 5k/15k spend) I guess my only thought currently is - Does it make sense to meet the spend on a new WOH Chase Card as opposed to getting another Chase branded card to get more UR points first (I already have a few mentioned above). Globalist/status chasing aside I think it's fairly worth it - for the elite nights and the Cat 1-4 award it seems worthwhile. Is the Cat 1-4 immediately credited or do you have to wait a calendar year to see it in your account?
