So this is something else I might be interested in.
I contemplate doing something seemingly unthinkable on FlyerTalk: Sending myself in person to the O'Hare counter of Spirit, or {Gasp} Jet Blue, or whomever it is that has cheap flights with nothing else included from Chicago to a NYC airport, and informing the agent I want flight A and flight B with nothing else, because I would cram whatever is necessary AFAIK for clean & soiled clothes into my declared carry-on, for which the cheapest fee is ordered there and then. How many days out would I need for this cheap airfare?
A cheap hotel I can probably find on one of the collators I have on my regular bookmark page. Then I would have to seek the cheap public transit route from there. I would discern something.
