With regard to adding repositioning flight to the 60K JL business seats from ORD-TYO from my home airport of ORF to ORD, I tied searching on Ba.com and saw no award availability for days searched at 1 month to 14 days out or even some odd days at different windows. Is there a way to perform an awards search on Ba.com that displays a calendar like the AA website award availability? It was tedious searching one day at a time - ugh!

Just tried the same search of Alaska Air website and it had the award availability by month - yah! Glad to see that there was award availability for 4.5K miles on certain days on AA flights from ORF-ORD - which I assume are flights that I can add to the 60K JL business class partner award - correct?

Also, checked and verified that I can cancel AA award seats and have all miles reinstated and fees refunded pretty much right up to the time of departure - just states cancel before the first flight.

Yahoo, I now have the methodology figured out - just have to wait a few months for the early Nov 2025 seats to start popping up. Sure beats using hundreds of thousands of miles for business seats - so glad I found this discussion!
