Nothing is free. Did you compare the provisions of the insurance offered by the tour operator to the insurance offered by Chase to verify that either met your needs?

I cannot imagine that Hyatt has any input into the features of Chase's proprietary cards. If Hyatt is comfortable using the same card issuer as IHG and Marriott, they are fully aware that Chase has competing interests. We can hope that the Hyatt product manager at Chase will work to refresh the Hyatt card to make it more attractive.
