Hi all,
Just returned from a trip to Brazil and thought some of you might be interested in a full video review I’ve put together covering my recent
British Airways Economy (World Traveller) flight from
Rio de Janeiro (GIG) to London Heathrow (LHR) on the
Boeing 777-200 (G-YMMP). I paid 34,000 Avios and £9.60 in taxes and fees, one way, per ticket. This was an overnight transatlantic flight with a flight time of exactly 10 hours and 45 minutes. It had a few surprises along the way – some positive, and others… well, less so.
In the video, I walk through:
- Check-in at GIG
- GOL International Smiles Lounge tour
- Delay handling
- Seat and cabin comfort
- Meal service and quality
- Trying to get some sleep in World Traveller
- Final thoughts: How does BA’s long-haul Economy compare in 2025?
If you’ve flown this route recently or have it coming up, would love to hear your thoughts as well. Always enjoy comparing notes with fellow FlyerTalkers.
