As a guess, there could have been some software changes made that were a problem, but they were not propagated to all servers, leaving some bad and some good. Could also be interconnectivity failures between some servers and some databases... but not all. For the antagonistic and those who have no problems, it was related travel yesterday, whose flights or itineraries experienced IRROPS around 910am EDT (initially itineraries disappearing or records becoming corrupted).
side note - I declined a F upgrade, which made matters worse as they changed my cabin twice once the doors closed. and I’m on an open jaw.
Delta chat - yes chat - actually was able to clear/close out the flight, fixing things in minutes.
